Canada Plans to Increase the Number of International Students attending Canadian Universities

Canada has an ambitious plan to significantly increase the number of international students attending Canadian Universities by 2022. The start of the 2017-school-year has already seen an 11% increase in the number of international students attending Canadian Universities, from 2016. This number includes part-time as well as full-time students and equates to over 190,000 international students. The province of British Columbia has seen the highest hike in international students in 2017, with a 15.6% jump from 2016. Canada’s education system has always been ranked amongst the top and Canada’s reputation for being safe, multicultural and welcoming, are some of the reasons for this increase.
