Applicants will now only have 60 days to submit their Invitations to Apply for Permanent Residence

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will now be providing applicants who receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Permanent Residence, through the Express Entry Program, with only 60 days to submit their application online. When the Express Entry Program was originally implemented in January 2015, applicants were only provided with 60 days to submit their ITA, however IRCC extended that to 90 days. IRCC is now changing the time period back to 60 days and therefore applicants must have their documents ready for submission within 60 days of receiving an ITA moving forward. Any ITAs received prior to June 26, 2018 will continue to have 90 days to complete and submit their applications. Any ITAs received after June 26, 2018 will have 60 days to complete and submit their applications.
