Changes to the Alberta Immigration Nominee Program Reconsideration Process

As of February 2018, Alberta Immigration Nominee Program (AINP) has changed their reconsideration process for refused applications. Applicants who would like AINP to reconsider their application will be required to submit the Request for Reconsideration form, through email, within 30 calendar days from the date of refusal. AINP has emphasized that the only grounds for a request for reconsideration must be directly related to the reasons for refusal stated in the letter AND a demonstration that an error was made in applying the program criteria to the application. AINP will not reconsider applications requesting for an exemption/exception from the program criteria, Humanitarian and Compassionate considerations, or review new evidence. Once a reconsideration request has been made, AINP will provide a response within 30 days of the request.
