Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program Issued 6,850 Nominations in 2018
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program provides foreign nationals with an opportunity to receive permanent resident status in Canada through their various programs. Ontario is one of Canada’s most popular province and a much-desired destination for new immigrants. On December 20, 2018, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program noted that they had finished the processing of its nominations for the year and had issued a total of 6,850 nominations in 2018, across all their streams. All applications that have already been submitted and new applications submitted after December 20, 2018, will continue to be processed in 2019. The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program has already been active, issuing 13 invitations to apply under the Entrepreneur Stream on January 17, 2019.
As Ontario has already started to send out invitations to apply in the 2019 year, applicants who have expressed an interest in Ontario through their Express Entry profiles, should periodically monitor their accounts to see if they have received a Notification of Interest from Ontario. Individuals interested in applying to the very popular Masters Graduate Stream and PhD Graduate Stream should also remain attentive on when these programs will open for the 2019-year, as these programs meet their intake quota in a very short period of time.
