Portugal Joins the International Experience Canada Program

Portuguese youth will soon have the opportunity to come to travel and work in Canada under the International Experience Canada (IEC) Program. In May 2018, a bilateral Youth Mobility Arrangement was signed between Canada and Portugal, which will allow young Canadians and Portuguese nationals, between the ages of 18 to 35, to enter each other’s countries to experience society and culture. Youth will be able to elect between the Working Holiday, International Co-op, and Youth Professional Streams, under the IEC program at the time of their application. This program will be available in the start of the 2019 IEC season, starting at the end of 2018.
